Ruth Abercrombie

Ruth Thelma Turner Abercrombie, age 73, of Morganton, GA, passed away Monday evening June 28, 2010 at the Heritage Health Care in Blue Ridge. She was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Rev. Loran and Maudie Lee Waller Turner. She was a Member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church and was a former convenience store owner in the Lakewood and Mineral Bluff communities. She was preceded in death by husband, Lake Abercrombie and son, David Abercrombie.

Survivors include: son and daughter in law, Gary (Mary Jane) Abercrombie of Blue Ridge, daughter and son in law, Judy (Rick) Williamson of Morganton, brother, Jimmy Turner of Covington, Ga. granddaughter, Amanda Williamson, grandson, Adam Williamson, granddaughter, Jamie Abercrombie, grandson, Joshua Abercrombie, grandson, Christian Taylor, grandson, Seth Abercrombie, grandson, Jason Abercrombie, grandson, Justin Abercrombie, great granddaughter, Aubree Snelling.

Funeral services: will be held Thursday at 1:00PM from the Mineral Bluff 1st Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Music will be by Jody Nicholson.

The family will recieve friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 30 from 6 till 9 pm
