Ruby Richbourg Cannon Hutchings

Mrs. Ruby Richbourg Cannon Hutchings, age 81, of Blairsville, GA, formerly of Ft. Pierce, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Mrs. Hutchings was a graduate of Florida State College for Women and Florida State University. In Florida, she had been a member of United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches in West Palm; and Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Ft. Pierce and was in recent years a member of the Hiawassee United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hutchings had been a teacher in public schools.

Survivors include: husband, Lloyd H. Hutchings; daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and Noble Highsmith, step-son and his wife, Hugh and Gayla Hutchings, step-son, Gene Hutchings, sister, Caroline Richbourg, granddaughter, Ruby Frascatore, step-granddaughters, Kristy Hutchings and Sarah Hutchings.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM from the Hiawassee United Methodist Church. The family will recieve friends at the church Friday morning from 9 until 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery in Sparta, Georgia at 4:00 PM.

The family suggests that donations may be made to Hiawassee United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Methodist Children's Home.
