Mrs.Ruby Leona Lovine, age 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Ruby was born Saturday, October 27, 1923 in Union County to the late Ernest Manley Poteet and the late Mandy Thomas Poteet. She was of the Church Of God Faith. She was a great cook, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and working in the garden and her flowers.
Survivors include: husband of sixty years, William Wade Lovine, son & daughter-in-law, James Edward & Margaret McClain of Adairsville, Ga., daughter & son-in-law, Bonnie & Clarence Mann of Jonesboro, Ga., son, William Wayland Lovine of Blue Ridge, daughter & son-in-law, Nicki & Bobby Tipton of Blue Ridge, brother, Nelson Poteet of Dunwoody, sister, Ruth Bloodworth of Barnesville, sister, Louise Coffey of Barnesville, grandson, James Donald McClain, grandson, Adrian Tipton, granddaughter, James Tipton, grandson, Robert Tipton, granddaughter, Amanda Walden, granddaughter, Cherrelyn Robinson, grandson, Vic Mann, granddaughter, Michelle Mann, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Wayland Lovine and Reverend Phillip Thomas officiating. Music was provided bythe Heavenly Echoes. Interment followed in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Dennis Gravely, Robert Tipton, James Tipton, Chuck Lovine, Chris Walden and Vic Mann.
