Mrs. Ruby Stewart, age 90 of Morganton, GA.died peacefully at her home Monday, April 4, 2011after an extended illness. Stewart was born February 18, 1921 to Sam and Flonnie Moore. A member of Church of God of Prophecy in Pantertown, GA. She loved her Lord and her family. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Sam (Flonnie) Moore, stepmother, Mollie Moore, brothers; Doyle, George, Willie & Jim Moore, brother in law, Michael Little.
Survived by: husband, Winston R. Stewart, son, Jewel (Teri) Morrison, son, Billy (Rosa) Morrison, son, Troy (Pam) Stewart, daughter, Sandra Little, sisters; Ruthie Morrison Cowan, Mr. & Mrs. Walter (Berta) Jackson, Carolyn Van Winkle, Mr. & Mrs. Cecil (Bonnie) Van Winkle, brother, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie (Virginia) Moore, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 5:00-9:00pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge. Funeral services are on Friday, April 8th at 2:00 PM in the Henry-Cochran Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Craig Morrison, Curtis Morrison, Clint Stewart, Brandon Stewart, Harold Stewart, Calvin Free, Brandon Truett & Richard Liebay.
We all have a beginning and eventually we will all have an end. People may not remember our birthday or when we pass. What they will remember is how we live our life. "The dash" the line between the beginning and the end. She always loved her life, that which was pleasing to the Lord.
