Royce Donald Wright

Royce Donald Wright, a beloved husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on May 3, 1940, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, to the late Everett Ottis Wright and Randall Christine Corbin Wright. Royce lived a life full of joy, humor, and love. He attended Smith Hughes Tech School. He spent his career as a dedicated technician with AT&T.

Royce was well-known for his infectious laughter and his ability to lighten the mood in any room with a joke. He had a remarkable gift for music, playing the piano and organ by ear. His passion for reading allowed him to explore new worlds and ideas, which he loved to share with others.

He is survived by his cherished wife of 39 years, Joann Spain Wright, who stood by his side in sickness and in health. He is also survived by his in laws, Mildred Quakenbush, Burnell Browning, Willis Spain, Lee Spain, Viola Rogers, Bonnie Segars, and Edward Spain. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

As we say goodbye to a truly remarkable man, let us carry his light and joy in our hearts, cherishing the moments we shared with him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
