Roy William Ball

Mr. Roy William Ball, age 69 of Blue Ridge, passed away October 6, 2018 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Ball was born March 10, 1949 in Morganton, GA. Family members that preceded him in death include his mother, Alice Ball, sister, Ethel Ball, niece, Michelle Ball and extended family member, Bengie Franklin. Roy was the owner and operator of Roy's Upholstery in Blue Ridge. He was a talented artist and enjoyed crafting and woodworking in his spare time. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Eric Jones of Braselton, brother, Gene Ball, sister, Nellie Ray, both of Morganton, granddaughter, Caitlin Jones, grandson, Kyle Jones, nieces and nephew, Marty Ray, Tracey Gazaway, Paula Ray Culver, and Angie Flowers. Also surviving, special friend, Doris Franklin and her family, Stephanie Sitton, Hillary Epps, Brooklyn Ayers, Mallory Ayers, Carli Ayers, Haylee Franklin, Hope Franklin, Hunter Franklin, Aden Epps and Blaire Epps.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Music provided by Paula Culver and David Jones. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Marty Ray, Kyle Jones, Speck Callihan, Raymond Queen, Eric Jones, and Jimmy Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Ball and Jimmy Picklesimer.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. You may send flowers or make a donation to your favorite charity in Roy's honor.
