Mr. Roy H. Stepp, age 87, of Blue Ridge passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Life Care Center of Copper Basin following a brief illness. He was born July 17, 1930, in McCaysville, GA to the late Tom G. Stepp and Callie Campbell Stepp.
Mr. Stepp was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was a life time member of the American Legion. He was an active member of McCaysville Church Of God. He enjoyed fishing, anything with wheels, and restoring old cars to trade.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Bettye Thompson Stepp.
Mr. Stepp was blessed with a large family including five siblings that preceded him in death. He is survived by a multitude of family and close friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of the Finch Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Steve Lamb officiating. Music provided by Alice Griggs and Doug Simonds. Military Honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
There will be no graveside service, but Mr. Stepp's final resting place will be the Epworth First Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 1:00 till 3:00 PM.
