Roy Harrison Davis, age 85 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at North East Georgia Medical Center.
Roy was born Tuesday, April 24, 1923 in Carroll County, GA to the late J. L. Davis and the late Dollie Smith Davis. He had lived in Hiawssee since 1982 and was a member of Atlanta/Northlake Lodge #98 B.P.O. Elks, V.F.W. Post 7807, Hiawassee. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was preceded in death by wife, Lucille Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by The North Georgia Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers are: members of V.F.W. Post 7807.
Visitation for friends will be held at the funeral home from 10-11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 31.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to V.F.W. Post 7807, Hiawassee, GA.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
