Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Ronnie Dale "R.B." Brown, age 60, of Blairsville, who passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016.
R.B. was born in Young Harris, Georgia, on March 5, 1956, a son of Bessie Garrett Brown and the late Johnnie Mack Brown. He was a lifelong resident of Blairsville, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. R.B. was a history buff, and was a lifetime member of Union County Historical Society, and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was also a member of Young Cane Masonic Lodge. He had been preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Mack Brown, and a brother, Johnnie Royce Brown.
Surviving family members include his mother, Bessie Garrett Brown, of Blairsville; a son, Ryan Taylor Brown, of Alabama and daughter, Lauren Camille Brown, of Georgia; and a brother, Randy Link Brown, of Blairsville.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The family requests that all memorial contributions be directed to Union County Historical Society, P.O. Box 35, Blairsville, GA 30514.
