Ronald Homer Williams, 80, passed away at his home on March 3, 2024. He was born on March 25, 1943, in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Homer and Doris Morharter Williams.
Ron served in the U.S. Army and was in Vietnam in 1965-66. He returned home and graduated from Dyke University with a degree in Industrial management in 1971.
Ron was a private pilot and enjoyed flying, he volunteered with Civil Air Patrol as the Cobb County Cadet Squadrent Commander.
Ron volunteered with the Gideon ministry and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He retired from the Georgie Department of Labor as Director of Supported Employment program in 2004.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Irless Williams, and two daughters, Kelly and Heather; and two sons, Matthew and his wife Dana, and Ronnie and his wife Courtney; and two grandchildren, Julie Williams and Preston Coburn; sisters, Doris Zinn, Ellie Williams, Debbie McGrath, and their spouses; and cousins and their children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Doris Moharter Williams; sister Patricia Finnegan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, GA ar 1:00 pm with North GA Honor Guard.
