Ronald "Ronnie" Stephen Thomas

Ronald Stephen (Ronnie) Thomas passed away Tuesday, December 16th at the Life Care Center in Ducktown. Ronnie was a lifelong resident of the Copper Basin area and was an original member of the local band The Blazers. The Blazers were very popular and performed throughout North Georgia and the Copper Basin.

Ronnie was a graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia.

Visitation for Ronnie will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20th. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm with Rev.Gary Parris officiating.

Survivors of Mr. Thomas include his daughter, Brooke Thoney of Alabama, three grandchildren, Morgan and Isaac Hughes and Aiden Townsend all of Alabama and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sister, Peggy and the late Bill Brackett of Marietta, brother, Robert and Sandra Thomas of Copperhill, and brother, Col. Joseph and Pat Thomas of Epworth.

Interment will be in the Kingtown Baptist Church Cemetery.
