Ronald DeWeese

April 12, 1948 — June 22, 2015

Mr. Ron DeWeese, age 67 of Mineral Bluff, passed away June 22, 2015 at North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Ron was born April 12, 1948 in Polk Co., TN to the late William Howard Taff DeWeese and the late Maude Lennis Lance DeWeese. He was a Deacon at Sweetgum Baptist Church and loved God and family. Ron retired as a firefighter for the Georgia Forestry Commission and in his spare time he liked to work on classic cars.

Survivors include loving wife, Judy DeWeese, daughter, Laura DeWeese, son, Cody DeWeese, sister, Sherry Davis, brother, Lewis (Genova) DeWeese, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend, Kimmy Henson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Sweetgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Weeks and Rev. Danny Kaylor officiating. Music provided by Tammy Kaylor and Robert Buchanan. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Don Gibbs, Charles Dillingham, Ed Howard, Rusty Roberson, Tommy Henson, and Zeke Henson.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
