Ronald Eugene Chamberlain, age 82, of Epworth, GA, passed away in Epworth, GA. Ronald was born December 10, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Everett and Evelyn Chamberlain. Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Keehn; brothers, Jack Chamberlain and James Chamberlain. Ronald entered the United States Air Force after graduation from high school. He was trained by the Air Force in Primary and Advanced Russian Studies at Syracuse University and in Cryptanalytical Studies at Goodfellow AFB, Texas. He served within the Air Force Intelligence Service, a branch of NSA, during the height of the "Cold War," monitoring the Russian ICBM missile ranges and space program. He was in the European Theater during the Cuban Missile Crisis and erection of the Berlin Wall. He left the military to attend the University of Florida, graduating from Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1965. He served as a public defender, local prosecutor, local Judge, and various areas of law specializing in elder law until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Carol Chamberlain; son, Joel Chamberlain; daughter, Kathleen Malone; sister, Joyce VanGordor; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for July 21st, 2023 1:30 P.M. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Ronald's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
