Robbie Hunter McGill

Robbie E. McGill, age 67 of Morganton, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Union General Hospital. Mrs. McGill was born December 11, 1950, in Atlanta, GA to the late William Doc Hunter and the late Ethel Mae Queen Hunter. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. Robbie had a career as a nurse at Union General Hospital that lasted over 40 years. She loved nursing, taking care of people, and telling others about the Lord. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Curbow.

Survivors include husband, William McGill, son, Matthew McGill, daughter, Amy (Billy Joe) Messer, sister, Vicki Clemmons, grandchildren, Kelsey McGill, James Messer, Ashley McGill, Anna Messer, Samuel McGill.
Funeral services: Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Darvin Couch and Rev. Keith Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Matthew McGill, Billy Joe Messer, James Messer, Carl Collins, Mike Watkins, and Ken Petty. Honorary pallbearers: Samuel McGill.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, January 19, 2018, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
