Richard Preston "Dickey" Simonds

Richard "Dickey " Simonds, age 66 of Murphy passed away peacefully while in the loving presence of his family on September 13th, 2010. He was born Aug. 14, 1944 in Cherokee County, NC the son of the late Lloyd George Simonds and Bessie Geneva Dalton Simonds.
He was a US Army Veteran Jump Master Sargent serving in Germany, a member of Peachtree United Methodist Church. He was a retired furniture salesman.
Missed by his wife Susanne Ivie Simonds, father of, David Simonds and Johnathan Simonds, brother of Jimmy Simonds. Loving Grandfather of Haley, Tyler and Chelsea. Graveside Services were held at Green Lawn Cemetery, on September 14th at 2:00PM . If you so desire, donations can be made to, Good Shepherd Hospice P.O. Box 495 Hayesville, NC 28904.
