Richard Norrell

Richard Brooks Norrell, age 84, of Blue Ridge and Atlanta passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Union General Hospital, Blairsville, GA.

Richard was born in Atlanta, graduated from Murphy High School in 1955, entered the Navy, and worked at Lockheed Aircraft, followed by 33 years at Delta Air Lines.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce, children, Scott and wife, Susan Norrell, of Woodstock, GA, Susan Echols of Monroe, GA, 6 grandchildren, Joshua and wife, Lindsey Echols, Hannah and wife, Kayla Williamson, Ryan Norrell, Chloe Norrell, Logan Norrell, and Lily Norrell, 2 great-grandchildren, Maddox Echols and Oliver WIlliamson, a sister, Joan Brinsfield of Shallotte, NC, and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was a member of McCaysville First Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
