Richard Bruce Land

Mr. Rick Land, age 64, of Copperhill, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Land was born on January 15, 1958, in Pueblo, CO, to the late Joseph Land and the late Norma Willard Land. He was a US Navy and US Army Veteran and served twenty years in the Army Reserves. After moving from Woodstock, GA, Rick had lived in the Copperhill area for the past two and a half years. His hobbies included guns, dogs, jeeps, mechanical work, the outdoors, camping, trains and traveling. He especially loved spending time with his family. Rick was employed at Ace Hardware in Blue Ridge in the gun department. Mr. Land is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Land, mother Norma Willard Land, brother, Steve Land, and sister, Lori Burnett.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Smith Land, sons, Mark Gosnell and Joey (Katlyn) Land, daughters, Jennifer (Rich) Castro, Melinda (Jon) Baker, Jami Clark, and Bobbi Volkman, grandchildren, Adrianna Castro, Isabella Castro, Allison Baker, and Luke Baker, Daniel Volkman, Austin Volkman, Coltyn Volkman, Madysson Volkman and Noah Volkman, Gage Clark, Gavin Clark, Grace Clark, Kenzi Nicole Land. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Finch-Cochran Chapel with Rev. Hershel Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers ~ Mark Gosnell, Rich Castro, Jon Baker, Joey Land, Byron Hoag, and Herschel Ledford.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
