Richard Allen (Rick) Larimore, age 54 of Turtletown, TN departed his earthly home bound for his eternal home in glory, on his birthday March 25, 2018. Rick was born March 25, 1964 in Galion, OH the son of Don and Judy Larimore. He graduated from Daniel Boone High School in Gray, TN some 18 years later.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Cora (Larimore) McFarland and Walter and Lois (Cox) Borland. He is survived by his mom and dad of Turtletown, his "big"sister Tracy and husband, Keith Cox of Rockland, PA, his "little" sister Kelly and husband, Bill Richcreek of Goshen, IN, his faithful companion Maggie Mae (a Jack Russell), his recently discovered older brother, Kieth Crain, of Riverton, IL, and a number of aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece and cousins scattered across the country.
Rick was an outdoorsman loving a number of outdoor activities. Within each sport which spanned drag racing or nature related sports of primitive camping, archery, hunting or fishing, he mastered the skills associated with each of his interests. Within those fields he always strived for the fastest car, the biggest deer or the fastest bass boat to catch that biggest fish.
He was creative as God had gifted him with an incredible memory and the use of his hands. Leaving his automotive vocational training field, becoming an apprentice within residential home remodeling, he eventually became self employed within the building trade. There his skills were used to frame cabins on mountainsides to that of a "finish" carpenter in a multi-million dollar home, to the creation of lovely furniture pieces in his home wood shop, which could compliment any home decorative scheme.
Although he has left his earthly home, we are comforted in the blessed hope that we will see him again on the distant shores, as he made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and rededicated his life in later years.
A memorial service will be held at 12PM March 29th at New Life Community Church located behind Fannin Regional Hospital near Blue Ridge, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory can be made to Gideon's International, www.gideons.org, 677 E. Second Street, Blue Ridge, GA. 30513, (706) 632-2325.
