Rex R. Nicholson

Rex R. Nicholson, age 71 of Blairsville, GA, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Union General Hospital.
Rex was born in Hiawassee, GA to the late Harvey and Eula Arrendale Nicholson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Garrett Nicholson, sisters, Faye Nichols and Madge Stephens.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Sonny Mahan of Blairsville, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Joseph Wright of Dahlonega, GA, brothers, Vaughn Nicholson, and F.C. Nicholson both of Blairsville, GA, grandchildren, Jennifer Mahan Queen, Devan Mahan and Nicholas Wright.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Pallbearers will be Devan Mahan, Ryan England, Cory Stephens, Larry Stephens, Phil Nichols and Anthony Nichols. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens with Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the North Georgia Honor Guard, c/o Bob Woodstock, 28 My Creek Rd., Blairsville, GA 30512
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
