Reba Hughes Campbell, 91, passed away peacefully at Alexian Village facility in Chattanooga,Tennessee on Monday, October 25th. She was born in Isabella, Tennessee to Dent Washington and Alma Christy Hughes, and was one of twelve children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William O. Campbell and all eleven of her siblings. Dr. Campbell was a family physician in the Copper Basin area for many years.
She is survived by her only child, Martin Lee Campbell, 51, who lives in an Orange Grove facility in Chattanooga. Reba’s greatest joy was being Martin’s mother. He was her pride and joy.
Reba was a loving Christian woman and friend to all. She was one of the founding members of the Mineral Springs Center in Blue Ridge, GA which provides services for the developmentally disabled. She was also a strong supporter of the Orange Grove PTA.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday, October 27th at Zion Hill Cemetery at 4pm. Arrangements are with Cochran Funeral Home, McCaysville, GA.
