Ralph Stanley

Mr. Ralph Stanley, age 89 of Cherry Log, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Union County Nursing Home. Mr. Stanley was born February 19, 1928 in Ellijay, GA to the late William Sandford Stanley and the late Nola Bearden Stanley. Mr. Stanley was of the Christian Faith and he retired from Levi Strauss in Blue Ridge,GA. In his spare time, Mr. Stanley enjoyed farming and gardening. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jean Stanley and Brother, Alvin Stanley.

Survivors include: son, Steve (Wanda) Stanley, daughter, Joy (Kimmy) Henson, son, Dan (Helen) Stanley, daughter, Jeannie (Randy) Garland, grandchildren, Stephanie (Randy) Read, Brian Henson, Heather (Ashton) Maevers, Sean Stanley, Jake Stanley, Anna Garland, Will Garland, great grandchild, Caiden Read, sister, Ruby Cordell and sister, Rosie Neal.

Funeral services: Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran F.H. with the Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Henson, Sean Stanley, Jake Stanley, Will Garland, Randy Read & Evan Long.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, August 15, 2017, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
