Mr. Ralph Clinton Lambert, age 92 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Fannin Regional Hospital. Mr. Lambert was born August 18, 1921 in Muscadine, AL to the late Homer Lambert and the late Ludie McWhorter Lambert. A member of the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, he was preceded in death by brother, Clarence Smith, sisters, Mozelle Smith, Alene Stanford, Mary Florence Smith. Ralph served his country bravely during WWII with the US Army Air Corp. He was known for his love of nature and teaching young children.
Survivors include loving wife, Winona Grace Roberts Lambert, daughter & son-in-law, Dawn & Bill Hines, daughter, Laura McDonald, daughter & son-in-law, Jo Ann & Thomas Powell, son & daughter-in-law, Ralph Clinton, Jr. & Candace Lambert, daughter & son-in-law, Charlane and Dave Hemphill, daughter & son-in-law, Christine & Tomonari Himeno, step-daughter & son-in-law, Angela Marie & Richard Wordarski, step-son, John Stephen McClure, sister, Burnese Harper, sister, Teenie Moody. From his first marriage Ralph has 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, also he had 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Burell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 pm before the service on Saturday.
