Rachel Merrell

Rachel Myrna Merrell, age 86, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away on February 14, 2024 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia .

Rachel loved to crochet making beautiful designs. She enjoyed the company of animals that brought great joy. She enjoyed being out in God's created nature doing her gardening which produced great beauty. She was a very caring person always opening her home to others and sharing in their company together. Rachel had a great sense of humor and carried a smile to share with others. She maintained a strong faith in God throughout her life.

She is survived by her children Sandra Tipton, Russell Tipton, Candice Tipton, Christopher Merrell and Donnie Joseph Merrell. Grandchildren, Bobbie Loetscher and Coy Shane Nix and Great Grandchildren, Katelynn Cornette and Amber Cornette.

A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11am in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cochran Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
