Rachel Ann Brown

Rachel Ann Brown was lovingly known as Nana by her family. She was 89, from Morganton, GA, and she went home to be with her savior Jesus, Sunday morning, October 27, 2024. She was born on May 26, 1935, in Copperhill, TN to Porter and Medley Rembert.

Rachel loved to play basketball in her younger years and went to Copper Hill High School. She married her sweetheart Bob Brown and traveled with him extensively prior to his retirement from the Air Force. They were together 69 wonderful years. She served in the church and sang in the choir wherever she moved. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed pranking others and was a delight to be around. Her southern cooking was second to none and everyone was amazed at the foods she threw together without following a recipe. She was a prayer warrior that family and friends alike could always count on. She loved her Lord and it showed in her life.

Rachel was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Raburn; brothers, Wendell Rembert and William Porter "Bill" Rembert; sister-in-law, Maxine Rembert; father, Porter Rembert; and mother, Medley Burnett.

She is survived by her spouse, Bobby Henry Brown; son, Steve (Susan) Brown; grandchildren, Brittany (Seth) Pugh and Craig (Angela) Brown; great-grandchildren, Elliana Pugh and Emersyn Pugh; and sister, Sandra Mae Rembert.

Memorial Service, on Saturday November 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge First Baptist with Rev. Rusty Thomas officiating. Music provided by Jeanette Rismiller and Greg Norton.

The family will receive friends at Blue Ridge First Baptist on Saturday, November 02, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
