Mrs. Phyllis Foster Craig, age 83, Cherokee Hills community, in Copperhill TN, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Craig was born Saturday, July 26, 1924 in Verda, KY to the late Rev. Org Foster and the late Montine Stuman Foster. Phyllis was a member of First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill, she enjoyed square dancing, and was a retired para pro with the Fannin County School system.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doretta Craig Torbett in 1996.
Survivors include: husband, Earl P. Craig, of the home; daughter & son-in-law, Loretta & Carlton Guthrie of Dalton, GA; granddaughter & husband, Carla & Jeff Bradwell of Smyrna,GA; granddaughter & husband, Alison & Alex Marchuk of Mareitta, GA; great-grandchildren, Davis, Gray, Lucy, Abby and Aidan; nephew, Doug Foster, and niece, Karen Foster Taylor.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 3:30PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry Gilbert and Rev.Gary Barber officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Harry Gilbert. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Billy Action, Don Loudermilk, Tom Foster, Howard Reece, Bob Kilpatrick, and Bob Welch . Honorary pallbearers include: Larry Kimsey, Powell Hoover, E.P. Stewart, Ed Millsap, George Brown, Wayne Stillwell, Deb Arp, Troy Simonds, and Deacon's of First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Tuesday, March 25 1:30-3:30PM.
