Penelope Ann Golden

Ms. Penelope Ann Williamson, 59, of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away Friday May 6 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. She was born October 26, 1962 in Franklin, NC to Arvel Williamson Jr. and Mary Sue Williamson. She was raised in Nantahala, NC and moved to Murphy when she graduated high school. She has lived in the tri-state area ever since.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sue Williamson (Bateman), her father Arvel Avery Williamson Jr., and her brother Alan Edwin Williamson.

She is survived by her son Allen Brandon Chastain and wife Lindsey Elizabeth Chastain (Scruggs) and a granddaughter, Spencer Nicole Chastain of Mineral Bluff, Ga.

She spent her early years working in carpet factories, Coats of America and Shaw Industries, but spent the latter of her life cleaning homes and cabins in the area. She enjoyed driving her Camaro and motorcycles, listening to all kinds of music, and traveling.
