Peggy C. Parker

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Caroline McEver Parker, age 89, of Greer, South Carolina, formerly of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 in Greer.

Mrs. Parker was born in Homer, Georgia, a daughter of the late Carl and the late Lucy Bennett McEver. She had lived many years in Blairsville, and worked alongside her husband in Blairsville Land Surveying Company. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Martha Caroline Parker Barnard; siblings: Jean Yonce, Betty Conner, and Jane Wilson.

Surviving family members are son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey L. and Diane Parker, of Blairsville, Georgia; grandchildren: Chris Parker, Holly Parker, Karen Parker, Brent Parker and Jamie Marshall; great grandchildren: Lucas Parker and Lily Parker. Surviving siblings: Evelyn Morgan (Fayetteville, GA), Hazel Williamson (Cornelia, GA), Connie McEver (Athens, GA), J.C. McEver (Winder, GA), David McEver (Macon, GA), and Edward McEver (Nicholson, GA).

Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, August 27th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville, with Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Jack in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held beginning at 12 noon on Friday, for two hours before the service begins.
