Paul Edward Morgan, Sr., age 70 of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Murphy Medical Center. Paul was born Tuesday, June 16, 1936 in Clay County to the late Marion R. Morgan and the late Dora Jane Deaver Morgan. He was of Baptist faith, loved setting with friends and neighbors, talking over a cup of coffee. He was a US Army Veteran Serving in Germany during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth Caroleen McGaha Morgan of Murphy, daughter & son-in-law, Elizabeth & Bill Almond of Marble, daughter & son-in-law, Lily & Michael Barnes of Marble, son & daughter-in-law, Paul E. & Shelly Morgan of Murphy, daughter, Linda Sue Morgan of the home, son & daughter-in-law, Marion R. & Stephanie Morgan of Murphy, brother, James Walter Morgan of Marble, sister, Anna Bell Baker of Murphy, sister, Ruthie Jane Baker of Murphy, granddaughter & husband, Stephanie & Jimmy Krokonko, grandson, Justin Barnes, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2007 at 8:00PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Paul Ray Morgan and Reverend Todd McKinnon officiating. Military honors will be by local veteran originations. Serving as pallbearers are: Nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8, Friday, May 4.
