Patricia Agnes Evans (Bradford)

Patricia Agnes Evans, age 73 of Copperhill, passed away October 9, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Evans was born July 2, 1939 in Miami, FL to the late William G. and Marita V. Bell Bradford. Patricia attended the St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in West Palm Beach, Fl.and graduated with a Diploma in Nursing. She worked and was licensed in Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Patricia worked as the Director of Nursing at the Copper Basin Medical Center from 1974-1983 and also she was the first Director of Nursing at the Life Care of Copper Basin from 1983-1986. She retired in 2002 after 43 yrs in Nursing. A member of the McCaysville Church of God, Patricia loved watching football and baseball, one of her favorite teams was Notre Dam. She also loved to make prayer quilts, Patricia started the prayer blanket ministry at the McCaysville Church of God.

Survivors include: daughter, Tara (Michael) Monteith, daughter, Marita (Barry) Marbut, daughter, Raina Hammond, granddaughter, Lindsey Matheson, grandson, Jacob Monteith, grandson, Cody Monteith, grandson, Phillip Marbut, granddaughter, Sarah Hires, grandson, Matthew Marbut, great-grandchild, Ryleigh Monteith, great-grandchild, Cody Hires.

Funeral services: Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at the McCaysville Church of God with the Rev. Steve Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers include Phillip Marbut, Matthew Marbut, Joshua Matheson, Jacob Monteith, Cody Monteith, and Justin Monteith.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
