Othella Minnie Key

Othella Minnie Key, age 84 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her home. Othella was born April 23, 1932 in Cherry Log, GA to the late John Harley Harris and the late Laura Key Harris. Mrs. Key was a member of Cherry Log Baptist Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Key enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, reading and writing poetry. Othella worked as a seamstress at Levi Straus Co. for 23 years. Othella was preceded in death by father, John Harley Harris, mother, Laura Key Harris, husband, Paul Key, brothers, Poley Harris, Seaborn Harris, Edward Harris and infant brother, Jerome Harris and one sister, Imogene Thomas.

Survivors include: daughter, Teresa (Ronnie) Deyton, sister, Novella Foster, brother, Kenneth Harris, brother, Pat Harris, one grandson, Adam Lee Deyton and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. James Worley officiating. Pallbearers: Gary Foster, Ronnie Thomas, Ricky Harris, Ernest Harris, Gene Ledford, and Randy Harris.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted or you can make a donation in Othella's memory to Pruitt Hospice, make checks payable to Pruitt Cares Foundation, 6050 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge, GA, 30513.
