Oscar Terrell "Stoney" Stone

Mr. Oscar Terrell "Stoney" Stone, age 92, of Murphy, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. He was born in Lakeland, FL, on December 17, 1926, to the late Walter R. & Evelen Adel Allred.
A member of the First Baptist Church of Murphy, Mr. Stone was an accomplished man. he was gifted at welding and woodworking. He also had a career in hydraulic engineering where he attained several patens various inventions.
Oscar also served in the United States Navy during World War II. His primary station was Guam, but he was also stationed aboard several vessels.
Mr. Stone will be remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his children, Brenda Stone, Walter Stone and James Stone. Also sharing in his legacy are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
