Ora Belle Baker, age 65 of Murphy, NC, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007 at 7366 Martins Creek Road. Ora was born Monday, August 31, 1942 in Cherokee Co. NC to Lloyd Baker, Sr and Ruth Morgan Baker.
Survivors include: father & mother, Lloyd & Ruth Baker of Murphy, NC, daughter & son-in-law, Alicia & Pete Miller of Murphy, NC, daughter & fiance, Susan Presley & Scott Revell of Knoxville, TN, sister & brother-in-law, Wanda & Sidney Hendry of Springhill, FL, brother, Lloyd Baker, Jr of Murphy, NC, brother & sister-in-law, Jimmy & Sallie Baker of Murphy, NC, brother & sister-in-law, Allen & Beth Baker of Murphy, NC, grandson, Michael Miller of Orlando, FL, several neices & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2:00pm from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Calvin Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Nathan Pritchard, Edward Baker, Sidney Hendry, Lloyd Baker, Jr, Scott Revell, Greg Mimbs. Honorary pallbearers include: Allen Baker, Jimmy Baker.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-9, Sunday, October 28.
The family suggests flowers may be sent or donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
