Norma Jean Weeks

Norma Jean Weeks, age 79 of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 25, 2010 at her home after a period of declining health. She was born in Gilmer County, GA to the late Theodore R. and Jessie M. Pless Whitaker. She was a very active charter member of East Side Church of Christ. She loved reading her Bible, shopping and traveling.
Survivors include: husband of sixty four years, Otis Weeks, sister, Irene Rogers, sister, Dessie Worley, sister, Florence Chapman, brother, Frank Whitaker, brother, John Whitaker, sister, Betty Carol, sister, Sue Long, brother, Samuel Whitaker, sister, Rebeca Jo Ann Cowart, sister, Wanda Patterson, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 at 2:00PM from the Henry Cochran Funeral Home chapel with Minister, Dennis Morris and Minister, Ernest Adston officiating. Interment will follow in the Stanley Creek Church of Christ Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Johnny Mackey, Steven Cain, Cory Harper, Johnny McKey, Jim Welch, Wayne Sluder, Justin Mason and Tim Long. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 till 9 PM.
