Nina June Davenport

Mrs. Nina June Davenport, age 88 of Morganton, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at Fannin Regional Hospital Mrs. Davenport was born January 13, 1926 in Fannin County GA to the late Robert D. Kirby and the late Pauline Stephens Kirby. She was a member of Morganton Baptist Church, avid Atlanta Braves Fan, enjoyed playing Rook, fishing and being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Hoyt H Davenport, son, Richard H Davenport, Brother, Lee Kirby, sister, Lorene Long, Brother, Roy Kirby, Brother, Howard Kirby and Brother, Joseph Kirby.

Survivors include: sons, Larry C (Joan) Davenport, Jerry K (Melissa) Davenport, daughter in law Janet Davenport sister, Hazel Woody, brother, Edwin Kirby, grandchildren, Jeffrey Davenport, Weston Davenport, Brent Davenport and Kimberly Clerici, great grandchildren, Kendall, Morgan and Brooklyn Clerici.

Funeral services: Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Hawkins officiating. Music provided by: Sherry Walden, David Anderson, Jim Callihan and Althea Davenport. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Jeffrey Davenport, Weston Davenport, Don Clerici, Brent Davenport, Danny Kirby and Roger Long.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Saturday, October 18, 2014, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
