Nicholas D George

Mr. Nicholas D. George, age 86, of Young Harris, GA passed away Tuesday November 3, 2020 in Blairsville, GA. Mr. George had been a resident of the North Georgia area for over 30 years. He was a member of the Good Shephers Episcopal Church in Hayesville. Nicholas was very active in community affairs. He was founder and member of the Purple Foot Wine Club, and a member of the Mountain Blue Jay Motorcycle Club of Hiawassee. He was an avid Square Dancer and an accomplished chef.

Mr. George is survived by his wife, Sandra Smith of Young Harris, son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sandy George of Orlando, FL, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Steve Ruling of Lake Butler, FL. Numerous step-children and grandchildren also survive.

No services are scheduled at this time due to the Covid Pandemic. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
