Neal Carringer, age 82 of Brasstown, passed away Thursday morning, December 16, 2010 at Murphy Medical Center following a period of declining health. He was born in Graham County, NC April 5, 1928 to the late Tom and Kitty Jenkins Carringer. Mr. Carringer attended Shiloh Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He had retired from Magnavox Furniture in Andrews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Carringer and Bruce Carringer, sisters, Ada Crisp and Doris Byers..
Survivors include: wife, Louzelle Carringer, daughter & son-in-law, Eunavee & Larry Mease, grandchildren and spouses, Bunny & Robby Williams, Leah & Casey Henderson; great-grandchildren, Amber Williams, Alicia Williams, Emily Williams and Cannon Henderson; brother's, Edgar Carringer, T.C. Carringer, Ted Carringer; sisters, Doris Byers, Ada Crisp and Jean Shelton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aud Brown, Rev. Dallas Crowder and Rev. Clark Moss officiating. Music was provided by Geneva Crowder and Diane Russell.
Interment followed in the Ogden Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were, David Hyatt, Bug Hyatt, Bass Hyatt, Lonnie Marcus and Jack Hogan.
