Myrtle Yonce Allen

Myrtle Yonce Allen, 87, of Andrews went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2014 at the Murphy Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Harley and Eva Yonce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Gay G. Yonce who was killed in Belgium in WWII, sisters, Ruth Solesbee, Dorothy Waters, Alba Rowland, and three siblings that died young. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years Jesse C. Allen who passed away in 2011.



Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Payne and Robin Albert, one son, Skip Allen, three grandsons and four great-grandchildren.



Memorial services will be held at the White Oak Flats Baptist Church in Nantahala, where she was a member, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. The family will be receiving friends from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to the Aquone Cemetery Fund c/o White Oak Flats Baptist Church 1230 Long Branch Rd., Topton, N.C. 28781.
