Murray Stanton King, 73, of Blairsville, GA, formerly of Apopka, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was born August 08, 1940 in Orlando, Florida. He was a Supervisor for BellSouth; member of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville as well as a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Telephone Pioneers and the NRA. He was an avid hunter, loved Bluegrass music, gardening and flowers, played the banjo and he was looking forward to having three grandsons. Mr. King is survived by his loving wife, Kendra King of Blairsville, GA; daughters, Michelle (Japhy) Slater of Roswell, GA and Melanie King of Apopka; sisters, Pat (Ted) Smith of Oakfield, GA and Barbara Martin of Apopka; grandsons, Rylan, Cameron and Caden, who will be born in March.
No local services will be held. Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2014 at Loomis Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida. The family will receive friends at Loomis Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m
