Modine Elaine Phillips

September 8, 1926 — January 7, 2018

Modine Edith Phillips, age 91 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Phillips was born September 8, 1926, in Canton, GA to the late Parlon Pearson and the late Clare Ruth Hulsey Pearson. A member of Damascus Baptist Church, Mrs. Phillips loved life and enjoyed fishing, painting, canning, and going to church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Felton Phillips, son, Dean Felton Phillips, daughter, Nancy Ruth Cheek, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Harris.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Oliver and Jane (Rev. Joe Dan) Wilkins, seven grandchildren, Vida Davis, Joseph Wilkins, Shelly Harris, Scott Harris, Ron Oliver, Steven Welch, Jackie Lynn Cheek, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins and the Rev. David Mashburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
