Mildred Florence DeNyke

Mildred Florence DeNyke, age 85 of Blairsville, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at her home.Mrs. DeNyke was born August 18, 1930 in Ocala, FL to the late Webster E.and Lucy Pons Boliek. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil DeNyke.Mrs. Denyke had been a resident of Union County for the past 34 years, moving from Silver Springs, FL.

Survivors include: daughters, Mary Kathy Mayfield and Jodie Henley, son, Edward Henley, step-sons, Jimmy DeNyke, Robert DeNyke, and Paul DeNyke, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with the Rev. Ed Land officiating. Music provided byBrenda Hemphill, Frances Brown and the Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Jimmy DeNyke, Robert DeNyke, Wayne Mayfield, Blake Mayfield, and Justin Mayfield. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: David Hemphill, Danny Hemphill, Kenny Hemphill, and Charles Hemphill.

The family received friends at the Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville, Saturday, October 17, 2015, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
