Michael Royce Kelley

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mr. Michael Royce Kelley, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, who passed away Monday evening, April 18, 2016, in Blairsville.

In April of 2015 Royce received a report from his doctor that he had stage 4 colon cancer. With this diagnosis Royce should have only had a short period of time left on this earth.We all stood with him in faith and believing God for his healing. After praying the Lord impressed on Royce's heart to let the doctors help him in this journey. The family then found Cancer Treatment Center of America and after one visit Royce said this was where he needed to be, a place of faith and hope. God extended his time here with us. Royce was blessed with seeing his second grand baby born Feb 29, a beautiful boy, Issac. His first grand child, Eva was also such a joy especially in the last days. God manifested his complete healing in Heaven on Monday the 18th. I know his Dad was waiting to greet him at the River of Life and Jesus saying, welcome home Royce, well done my good and faithful servant!

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: loving wife of 33 years, Kathie Kelley; daughters & sons-in-law, Arenda & Daniel Garcia and April & Blake Daniel; son, Andrew Kelley; mother, Sarah Kelley; and sister, Rita Carr. Also sharing in his legacy are his grandchildren, Eva Garcia and Isaac Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father, Wofford Kelley.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. Viewing will be held on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., the day of the service. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, April 22, 2016, from 6 until 8 p.m.
