The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces Memorial Services for Michael Lee Hamilton, age 69 of Young Harris, GA who passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Michael was born on April 27, 1948 in Atlanta, GA. Michael retired from Ace Ornamental Iron. He was married to the love of his life, Tammye Hamilton, for 21 years. Michael was a fun loving and caring person. He loved his family and friends, always there to lend a hand.His love for his family never stopped, that includes the fur babies of the family. Known to have a Heart of Gold, He was one of the kindest men in the world, treating all with respect. He always had a smile on his face. His gentle spirit was felt by all.
Mike had a passion for motorcycles. He had a shop, where he built customized motorcycles. One bike he built, "Frankenstein", set 2
World Records and 1 National Speed Record. Motorcycles were in his blood. A welder by trade, his work was truly a work of art. His attention to detail and extreme perfectionism made it so.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: loving wife, Tamara "Tammye" Hamilton; son, Cody Lee Hamilton of Young Harris; brother, Ricky Hamilton; sisters, Connie Hamilton and Vickie Heck. Many friends and other relatives will also share in his legacy. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Hamilton and Betty Ford Bowen.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. with Pastor Clark Moss officiating.
