Melvin Emory Brown

Melvin Emory Brown, 92, of Blairsville, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Melvin was born September 24, 1931, in Dalton, GA to Emory and Irene Edna Brown. Melvin proudly served his country in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. Melvin was a lifelong resident of Blairsville, GA. Melvin worked as an Electrical Engineer for many years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Irene Brown; and sister, Claudia Todd.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Brown Isom, of Gray; grandchildren, Ian Joseph Isom, Zoey Irene Isom, and Jessica May Isom, and his siblings, Sarah Virginia Partain of Blairsville, Wanda Gibson, of Blairsville, DeAnna Brown, of Dahlonega, Evelyn Lamar, of Blairsville, Farris Brown, of Blairsville. Melvin is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

 Services for Mr. Melvin Brown will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Track Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Blairsville, GA. with Rev. Wade Plott officiating. Burial will follow at Track Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
