Melissa Lynne Shelton, age 45 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007.
Melissa was born Friday, September 14, 1962 in Muscogee County, GA. She was a member of New Martins Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: mother, Jo Ann Dills, father, William Chastian, Sr., son, William Shelton, daughter, India Shelton, sisters, Melinda Kelley and Melanie Chastain, brothers, William Chastain, Jr. and Shannon Garrison all of Hiawassee, GA, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Anthony Dye and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Justin Eller, Bruce Berrong, Josh Berrong, Mike Grier, Cody Shelton and Jonathan Revis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Friday, October 12.
