Max Ray Arp, age 71 of Copperhill, passed away Sunday evening June 19, 2016 at his home. He was born September 29, 1944 in Isabella, TN to the late Alvin Arp and the late Maude Lee Elrod Arp. He was a member and deacon of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, a member of the Ducktown Masonic Lodge, served in the US Army, and was retired from Honeywell in Cleveland, Tennessee. Max was a avid UT Volunteers Fan and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Postell and Betty Hensley.
Survivors include: wife, Judy Sisson Arp, daughters, Rhonda (Ronnie) Dillard and Tammy (Britt) Jones, son, Stephen (Alison) Arp, brother, Ernest Arp, sisters, Louise Caylor and Linda Bandy, grandchildren, Amber and Emma Dillard, Mattie & Casey Arp, Will Jones, Erin, Jones Nix, Erica Jones, Lindsey Loudermilk, Adam Ferguson, host of nieces and nephew.
Funeral services: Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Mount Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Hemming and Rev. Kenny Housley officiating. Music provided by: the Kenny ONeal Family. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony church cemetery. Pallbearers: Stephen Arp, Casey Arp, Stoney Standridge, Joe Hensley, Danny Jo Smith, Don Ensley, Will Jones. Honorary pallbearers: Male members of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, Tinker Bailey, Joel Pack, Roy Bell, Shawn Chancey, Ally Bruce fellow employees of Honeywell. Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of, Monday, June 20, 2016, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
