Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Maudell Kelley, age 81, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at her home.
Maudell was born in Blairsville on December 22, 1932, a daughter of the late William Edge Kelley and the late Myrtle Mae Walker Kelley. Maudell had been preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Rev. Wofford Kelley; and two sisters, Louise Kelley DeLong, who passed away the day after Maudell died, and Elizabeth Helton.
Maudell leaves behind her loving family members: sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Pat Phillips, of Blairsville; brother and sister-in-law, Herb and Linda Kelley, of Blairsville; sister-in-law, Sarah Kelley, of Blairsville; and special caretakers, Liz and Terry Franklin, also of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Maudell and Louise will both be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at The House of Prayer Interdenominational Church in Blairsville, with Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special music will be presented by The House of Prayer Church Choir and Billy Garrett. Serving as pallbearers will be Maudell's nephews and Louise's grandsons: Jackson Burrell, Chase Burrell, Ben Chapman, Bret Chatham, Ernie Chapman, and Chad Spiva. Burial will be in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation for both Maudell and Louise will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014, at The House of Prayer Interdenominational Church, starting at 6:00 p.m.
