Maude Lennis Deweese (Lance)

Maude Lennis DeWeese, age 91 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. She was born December 6, 1919 in Union Co., GA to the late Thomas and Mary Byers Lance. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist, enjoyed studying her Bible, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Deweese.

Survivors include: son, Ronald (Judy) Deweese, daughter, Sherry D. Da vis, son, Lewis (Genova) Deweese, grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Boyle, William S. Davis, Jr., Joy Ford, Diana Thomas, Cody Deweese, Laura Deweese, great grandchildren, Jacob A. Rhodes, William Samuel Davis III, Cooper Boyle, Tyler Lance Ford, Elijah Pann Thomas, Emma Love Thomas, Sydney Ford, Olivia Ford, three nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Buchanan and Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:00 PM on Monday, July 25 however the family will especially receive friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
