Mary Spiva Arrowood

Mary Spiva Arrowood, 84, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Hiawassee, GA, passed away in Anderson on Friday, April 22, 2022. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Ernest Arrowood.

On January 26, 1938, Mary was born in Clarksville, Ga, to the late Carl Spiva and Elizabeth Wall Spiva.

She joined Lower Hightower Baptist Church at a young age. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She loved her family with all her heart and was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri Arrowood Stewart (Jeff) of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Kyle Arrowood of Pendleton, SC, Bleu Arrowood (fiance Mason Campbell) of Pendleton, SC and , Amy Durante (Kazan) of Greenville, SC; and great-grandson Memphis Campbell of Pendleton, SC; brother Arthur Spiva and sisters Barbara Spiva and Ann Wilson all of Hiawassee, GA.



In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony Arrowood and Ted Arrowood, brother Carl Spiva, Jr. and sister Rachel Smith.

Graveside services for Mary will be held on Tuesday, April 26, at 2:30 PM at Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Rumfelt and Rev. Randy McAlister officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home Hiawassee.
