Mary Smith (Latherow)

Mary L. Smith, age 92 of Blue Ridge, passed away August 18, 2012 at the Heritage Heathcare Nursing Home. Mrs. Smith was born March 20, 1920 in Rochester, PA to the late Harrity and Mary Latherow. A member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, she enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing and visiting relatives. She also enjoyed attending Mass at the church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Avery, and Deborah Johnson; two sons, Ronald and Timothy Smith; one brother, George Latherow; grandchildren, Michael Smith, Erica Johnson, Adam Smith, Todd Johnson and Wesley Smith and one great-grandchild, Rivers Leary.
A memorial service will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father John Conway officiating. She will later be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
