Mrs. Mary "Bernice" Ash, age 85, of McCaysville, GA, passed over November 11, 2009 at Copper Basin Medical Center.
Mrs. Ash was born on March 28, 1924 in Lafayette, TN. She was a homemaker and member of Hipps Chapel Methodist Church. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Dellon Ash Sr, sister, Helen Galloway, and brothers, Carl, Claude, Luther, Jr. and Glenn Galloway.
Survivors include: son & wife, Roger & Maria Ash of Atlanta, GA; son & wife, Thomas & Loretta Ash of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter & husband, Donna & Carl Holcomb of McCaysville, GA; son, Daniel W. Ash of McCaysville, GA; daughter & husband, Delnice & Jr. Lawrence of McCaysville, GA; son & wife, Dellon II & Billie Ash of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Jimmy Galloway of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Wilma Billie Lawrence of Blue Ridge, GA; twenty one grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Hipps Chapel Methodist Church with Reverend Delmar Davenport and Reverend Ernest German officiataing. Music will be provided by Church Choir. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will recieve friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
